πŸ”’ Securing LinkTwo against theft

Using a padlock for theft protection

Updated today

To protect LinkTwo from unauthorized removal or theft, the device can be secured with a padlock. Below we show you how this works.

πŸ”§ Step-by-step guide:

  1. Mounting the DIN rail: Attach the DIN rail firmly to the wall or desired mounting location. Detailed instructions can be found here.

  2. Sliding on the LinkTwo box: Slide the LinkTwo box onto the DIN rail. ➀ Important: Make sure that the release lever below the DIN rail clicks into place correctly.

  3. Attaching the padlock: Once the box is correctly mounted, a padlock can be inserted through the designated opening – as shown in the image. This blocks the release mechanism and protects the box from theft.

πŸ” Choosing a padlock:

  • In general, any padlock with the correct shackle diameter is suitable.

  • Recommended shackle diameter: 6 mm (Refers to the diameter of the shackle)

Note: Make sure to use a weatherproof lock if the device is installed outdoors.
